Community Shred-It Day
Securely Dispose of Sensitive Documents
Old paperwork has a way of piling up—bank statements, tax records, medical bills, old credit card offers, and more. While those documents may no longer be useful, they often still contain personal information that could be misused if they end up in the wrong hands.
That’s why your Ashland Community Federal Credit Union is hosting a Community Shred-It Day to help members and neighbors safely dispose of sensitive documents.
This free event gives you a secure, convenient way to destroy paperwork that contains personal or financial information—helping reduce the risk of identity theft while clearing out old files at the same time.
Event Details
Date: Saturday, March 14
Time: 9:00 AM – Noon
Location: Ashland Community Federal Credit Union
Simply bring the documents you would like to dispose of, and they will be securely shredded on site.
What You Can Bring
You may bring personal documents that contain sensitive information, including:
Old bank statements
Tax documents and financial records
Pay stubs
Medical bills or insurance statements
Expired financial paperwork
Any paperwork containing personal identifying information
If it contains personal information that you wouldn’t want someone else to see, it’s a good candidate for shredding.

Identity theft often starts with small pieces of information—an account number, address, or social security number found on discarded paperwork.
Secure shredding helps protect you by permanently destroying documents that could otherwise be used to access personal or financial information.
