When people talk about Ashland County, they sometimes focus on its traditions, history, and small-town feel. But there's another important part of our community that often gets overlooked: nearly one in four Ashland County residents is under the age of 18.
That statistic shines a light on the future of our community.
At Ashland Community Federal Credit Union, we've believed in investing in that future since 1951. In fact, we can't begin to count the number of members who first walked through our doors as children when a parent or grandparent opened a youth savings account for them. Today, many of those same members are raising families of their own, buying homes, financing vehicles, and continuing their financial journey with us.
This month, we're celebrating Youth Month and recognizing the important role young people play in the future of our community. Whether it's a youth savings account, a debit card that helps teach responsible money management, or mobile banking tools that make saving and spending easier, we're committed to helping young people build healthy financial habits from the very beginning.
